The 2018 Farm Act makes permanent the system for administration of hemp farming, processing and sales in all 50 states (previously, the law allowed a pilot program under the 2014 Farm Act, and several states took advantage of this program, including Kentucky, Colorado, and Oregon). Furthermore, the bill removes hemp and all its derivatives from the Controlled Substances Act, in effect, delisting it from the DEA drug Schedule.
